This Privacy Policy explains how Nehemiah Works for Life (“Nehemiah Works,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit www.nehemiahworksforlife.org (the “Site”) or contact us through it. We care about your privacy, especially because many people reach out to us during difficult seasons of life.
Who we are
Nehemiah Works for Life is a nonprofit Christian ministry offering pastoral Christian counseling, life coaching, spiritual direction and ministry support. Our office is at 175 Arcane St., Greenville, TX 75402. You can reach us at (210) 540-0386.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use a form on the Site (for example, the Contact or Request a Consultation form), we collect what you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, the kind of support you are looking for, your preferred way and time to be contacted, and your message.
Donations. Online gifts are processed by our donation provider, Givebutter. Payment details are entered on Givebutter’s secure system and are not stored on our Site. Givebutter handles that information under its own privacy policy.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting server records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. This is used to keep the Site secure and working properly. The Site uses cookies as described below.
Please do not send sensitive information through the Site
Website forms and email are not the right place for detailed personal, medical or mental health information. Please share only what we need to contact you; we will talk privately when we connect. Information you share during counseling or coaching is kept separately from this website and handled with care and confidentiality. We will explain our confidentiality practices, and their limits, at your first meeting.
If you are in crisis, do not use the website to reach us. Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.
How we use your information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
When we share information
We share information only as needed to run our ministry and this Site, for example with our website host, email delivery services, our donation processor (Givebutter) and the software providers that power the Site. These providers may use the information only to perform services for us. We may also disclose information if required by law, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect someone’s safety.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use cookies that are necessary for the Site to work, and, only with your consent, optional cookies such as those used by embedded services. When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept, deny or customize optional cookies, and you can change your choice at any time using the cookie preferences link on the Site. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Third-party services and links
The Site uses services provided by third parties, including Givebutter for donations, an accessibility toolbar provided by Elementor, and links to Google Maps for directions. When you interact with these services, the provider may collect information under its own privacy policy. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their privacy practices.
How long we keep information
We keep form messages and contact details only as long as needed to respond to you and to provide the services you request, and as required for our records or by law. Spam-prevention records do not store your name, email or message.
How we protect information
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, to protect information sent through the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you from the Site, or to correct or delete it, by calling (210) 540-0386 or writing to us at the address above. You can opt out of any emails from us at any time.
